Doctor in veterinary sciences and primate diseases ecology, Kenneth traded his stethoscope and machete to fully dive into software engineering, after falling into the R rabbit-hole more than 10 years ago.

He developed a true “tech empathy” after learning R the hard way. His main driver? Opening all the black boxes. After dissecting the innards of the language, of the terminal or of Docker containers, he now designs packages and workflows that perfectly fits within the needs and constraints of the field and production.

Optimisation-addict and all-terrain teacher, he even shared his passion for data science within the depths of the Bornean jungle. As a karate black-belt, he makes bugs bite the dust with the same discipline and precision as he does at the dojo.
