SAS code interface via Shiny

Context summary

A micro-simulation model of the effects of French social and tax legislation is implemented under SAS. Its configuration is difficult due to the large number of parameters. ThinkR is contacted in order to make the simulations accessible to a larger number of users.

Our intervention

  • Development of an interactive Shiny application capable of modifying and/or creating an Excel file containing all simulation parameters (several thousand) in order to pass them to the SAS program input.
  • The various simulation results operated under SAS are stored and reported against from R.

Result & added value

  • The use of the model is democratized via an ergonomic interface
  • The simulation process is more rigorous
